“First one failed after a few days with a message "stating usb overcurrent". Raise ram with the PI hut, swift response. Send original back. Got the replacement about a week later. This one is working fine. For me the 8gb overcomes issues with running web pages. I had a 2gb PI 4 and it just could not cope. PI 4 is a lot easier to power than the PI5 when using it out and about. Runs fine from a power bank.”

It's for use on a boat, so I chose the Pi 4 over Pi 5, because it's uses less watts.
The performance is excellent for my needs, although I'm sure the 5 is even quicker
I used an SD card that I had kicking around at first, and everything was hesitant & laggy. Bought a much quicker SD card(140 mb/s, not very expensive) and suddenly everything ran really well. Lesson learnt.”
