“Just super happy. This is my first Pi and I needed to create a network file server to put all my music and photos, and with the Pi it was nice and easy to do and I've also managed to configure it using Open Media Vault as a DLNA server so my wife can play music from it onto our smart TV which is a bonus. I use USB storage as my DASD and my Pi is connected to my hub on an ethernet in a Flirc case and the whole thing cost a fraction of a commercial NAS drive and was a boat load of fun to build.”
“Been a while since I've played with Raspberry Pi's (got a 1B+ when they were new which has been sitting a a shelf for years :( ). What a difference! Easily fast enough for general usage, currently I'm using it to run a custom CCTV setup, and trying to decide between another 4B or a Pi400 for general use.”
“I find this SBC to be quite usable as a desktop machine but it can slow down a bit when a lot of tasks are active. It's very simple to set up and use. I bought the 8GB version and stuck a Pi-Hut supplied 64GB MicroSD Card into it with NOOBS on the drive. Setting up was very straightforward and the only thing that took a significant amount of time was updating the system and applications once the machine was working.”
“The unit is well made and good quality parts are used.
The packet did take a bit long to reach me considering the that it was sent from the UK, but guess that's due to the covid situation.
Over all very pleased with the product and service.”
