“Decided to lock down some prior projects as keepers so needed a new board for what next. The pricing on the 3A is very attractive so went that route.
I’ve had one before and the slightly larger form is nice to a 2Zero and it seems to have a bit more go.
The full size ports are useful saves the usual adaptors however it’s a shame is not usb c power.
For my Python / pico projects it’s been prefect. That was the main reason to purchase.
I also liked the new pi desktop that gives a bit of a makeover. It’s not fast but usable on this unlike a 2Zero where it’s just too slow.
Don’t expect it to run Chrome or Firefox - that’s just too much for it.”
“The Raspberry Pi 3a+ is exactly what I needed for my project. Its small footprint and lower cost made it ideal for my more software than hardware requirements.”
“Just like my 3B+ you have all the performance of the fully fledged pi in a smaller package. Using mine in a Pistorm for an Amiga 500. The Pi provides significant performance and new life to the aging machine and tons of new features. A worthwhile upgrade!”
“Has a couple of these before so knew what to expect. A little trouble getting older python scripts to run on the newer image, but happy once I'd overcome that challenge. Slight shame that The Pi Hut use Evri, so my next day delivery turned up 5 days later.”
“Does what it supposed to do.
After reciving a camera instead of the Pi II waited about a week for you to cancel order as out of stock. Very much not very proffessionable”
“I bought this pi3a for my pistorm build in a Amiga a500+ with a new video device for native video to be sent to the pistorm HDMI.
After setting it all up the new pi3a has been brilliant.”
