Excellent, dependable, speedy next day delivery from The Pi Hut, as always. The Pi 3 A+ is a great step up from the current Pi Zero 2 W for small projects that need to be USB powered - a slightly larger form factor and the same RAM, but 1.4Ghz CPU instead of 1Ghz and 5Ghz WiFi instead of 2.4Ghz. I have the Pi 3 A+ running off a standard 5v 2.4A USB port, and have even had it going on 5v 0.9A (although the voltage warning flashes) with no peripherals attached. I have it running Ubuntu Server 24.04 headless, and acting as an always-on Tailscale exit node over 5Ghz WiFi (which the Zero 2 W doesn't support, being only 2.4Ghz) and serving a few other lightweight things. All finished off in a nice passive cooling Geekcom case. Thanks to the Pi Hut for their reliable service!

Love this board, low power and simple design with everything you need - real sized USB, good wifi, and camera port for the new v3 camera which works great with it. For a simple automation project or weather station trailcam type build it's perfect, zero2 is great too but where space isn't an issue I find this easier to work with. I'm using it to make a pigrow garden automation time-lapse grow box, robogromo on YouTube for videos of it in operation

This is a great little machine. I use it to run Moode Audio. The single USB output connects to a digital input on my amplifier. I've also got upwards of 1200 CD's stored on the micro SD card (500 GB) alongside the system software. There's still room for an additional few hundred CD's in ALAC format. The sound is as close to perfect as it gets. I have yet to hear a single glitch, a common occurrence with other digital playback systems I used in the past.
