“I'm useing this for a schoolproject and it fit perfectly for it's purpose. Because it's so small it easily fits into every places a normal Rpi would not.”
“Bought several now, decided this one was going to become a part of my work van for streaming music and visuals to my inbuilt radio. Works great, tiny little device, easy to use as with all pi devices, fantastic how small it is.”
“Love the brilliant minimalism of the Pi Zero. It has all the GPIO and processing power of its bigger brothers. Occasional network connectivity is taken care of with a wifi or ethernet dongle. Incredibly small form factor and throw away price makes it my goto device for, well, just about everything!”
“My fault for not checking - but only having 1 usb port is a nuisance.
I then bought a unpowered USB hub thinking it would be no issue, but doesn't work with the zero.
From reading other peoples posts on forums, if you have another variant of the PI then the zero is easy to set up, as you can configure the wifi settings on the sd card on a different pi, then when you plug it in you can SSH and voilah it works.
But on its own - it hasn;t quite worked out to be the cheap and cheerful micropc I was looking for.
Once I've bought a few more accessories (which I have but awaiting delivery) then maybe I'll be able to appreciate it more, but for now its just sat there waiting to be played with :(
By the time i've finished buying all the accessories - i should have bought a PI2 / PI3. But as ive already made the investment, i may as well just buy the few remaining accessories i require.”
