“Does what it says on the tin. Likely you will want network, so probably best to spring for the W, I know I will...I wanted to order all I needed in one go, and W stock was out at that time, so I will go get the W now to get Wireless.”
“Pretty sweet little board! The lack of connectivity options on this model can be a problem for sure (welcome to the dongle life) but if you know what you are getting into, then it will be a great little companion.
If you don't have a particular project in mind and want to try things out or you are making first steps with SBCs - choosing the Pi Zero W *with* the soldered GPIO pins is a better choice, especially for novices.
Preparing with USB OTG and maybe USB Hub (possibly usb ethernet adapter as well?) can be a good idea.”
“Amazing value for money - a computer for less than a fiver! - but I did order this accidentally as what I really wanted was the W version. It turns out the things I can do with a Pi Zero are seriously limited when I have no wi-fi.”
