I bought this item because I can't be bothered to solder and it works just fine. But I would advise also buying the installation jig as you have to hit it quite hard with a hammer to drive the pins in. It would be very easy to bend the pins without the installation jig.

Simple to use and worked first time. I used a hand clamp and applied gentle pressure. Worked no problem

I was a little apprehensive about using this but simply following the instructions I was able to insert the header into my Pi Zero W will no problems using a small glaziers hammer.

I used both female and male headers. As described the female header was very simple, whereas the male header needed more care. Nonetheless both work fine - and it saved me from soldering!

Great job I see that you made the plastic thicker

I was wondering if they could extend the concept to other "header" configurations. Or actually to headerless configurations. So far I've foregone on actual soldering. Perhaps someone could create a soldering exercise kit.

I didn't trust my soldering skills so this was the ideal solution. I found trying to use the jig on a tabletop (as suggested) was too 'bouncy' but putting the jig on a cutting mat then laying that on a concrete tile on the patio gave a much firmer base on which to hammer.
