“If, like me, you go boss eyed trying to see the tiny holes in the RPi Zero headers, these hammer on blocks are perfect. If you get a pair, then you can add your (p)hat almost effortlessly. I have even taken a hacksaw to them to use on smaller (yes smaller) add on boards like battery boards, or motor shims.
You can get almost any connector in hammer/press on form. I am surprised that they aren't supplied as standard to all boards/kits (come on Pi Hut!) - I'd happily pay the extra few pennies!”
“I bought this item because I can't be bothered to solder and it works just fine. But I would advise also buying the installation jig as you have to hit it quite hard with a hammer to drive the pins in. It would be very easy to bend the pins without the installation jig.”
“I was a little apprehensive about using this but simply following the instructions I was able to insert the header into my Pi Zero W will no problems using a small glaziers hammer.”
