“I have mine on one of my pi's that is mounted vertically on my desk (along with a powered USB hub and other accessories). Very simple to install the software examples. I modified the coloured binary clock example and have that running whenever I am not using it for anything else.
Note that the LEDs can be set to any brightness. At their full brightness and on white, it makes a very acceptable desk reading lamp! :-)”

“Had a lot of difficulty getting this set up as the install method would not work (sudo curl -sS get.pimoroni.com/blinkt | bash) throwing up an issue with python 2 installing "Python 2 library install failed! If problems persist, visit forums.pimoroni.com for support"" Had to manually install via cloning the github repo.
