“Excellent, solid case with a power button and SSD.
I wish it had
1. PoE support
2. All plastic construction so Bluetooth chip had greater range.
3. NVME support.
But it is the best case available right now!”
“I'd would have liked to give this case five stars - however the current (outdated) ASMedia firmware used doesn't support TRIM (even though my M.2 SSD supports it) and (according to Argon 40 support) you'll will have to find, download and flash a newer firmware (141126_A1_EE_82).
This, as far as I as I have been able to find out can only be done using a Windows 10 PC, which causes another problem as I don't own any Windows devices at home (pure Linux household) and I'll have to wait until I'm able to go back to work next week to try and flash the newer firmware.
Apart from this issue it's a great little case that means you don't have to use an external USB to SATA cable, but it would have been better if the firmware used had been updated before hand.”
“Already use the Argon One case so this M.2 case was a logical progression. Works flawlessly but there are a couple of issues - 1. unlike the previous case you have to remove the bottom of this case to get to the microSD card slot. The surface finish on this case is not as good as its predecessor with visible surface blemishes on the powder coating. Not a showstopper but disappointing for the price. No doubt a QC issue. Other than that it's a sturdy and well-designed case the protects and cools your Pi a treat.”
