“Fantastic case. And the got the power-off right on this. If you powerdown from OS (i use Ubuntu 20.10) the case the power off completely (can be controlled by jumpers i think).
My only tiny grumble is that fan is on the loud side. They missed a trick by only have 1 removable cover. I think the main panel should also be removable. I do have the threshold quite low with 10% of the fan kicking in at 40 degrees. Usually on 20-30% of time.
Admittedly I do ran heavy loads- Ubunut 20.10 with cinnamon desktop, firefox & emailer ++.”
“The Argon One case is a brilliant case for pi OS as the fan and IR drivers for it work flawlessly, the case is a solidly built case and looks really good, my Sata SSD works great in this case too...........However the one thing i found needs work is the drivers for the fan and IR only work with pi OS and couldn't find a way to get the fan to work with Ubuntu 20.10 or RetroPie, I gave this case a 5/5 because for pi os it works amazingly well.”
“This must be simply the best RPi case available at the time of writing this.
Yes it is not cheap but the cooling is excellent so your RPi will never be throttled back due to over heating and the biggest bonus is being able to use a SSD to boot your RPi4 rather then the micro SD card. Reasonable size SSD drives are pretty cheap now and together with the proper on / off pb on the case you have a nice mini computer the size of a large box of matches.
Also get it from The Pi Hut and save yourself any hassle.
Yes you can search around and get it for a couple of quid cheaper elsewhere (although I doubt it) but order from The Pi Hut and it will be delivered before you have clicked order now, well almost.
I have used them several times and delivery has been pretty much next day even in Covid Times.”
“Not sure whats not to love about this case. Its very well built, the cooling is more then enough for my PI4 8GB running as a desktop. The conversion to regular HDMI cables is a nice addition too.
Arrived really fast before Christmas when there were delays all over for other suppliers.”
