“For me, the micro:bit has all the hallmarks of a great learning tool, cheap, easy to 'plug and play' and rapidly understand from the off and certainly has enough visual feedback without adding 'expensive' add-ons to know your program is working, wish I had this when I was younger. Youngest - 8 yo loves it, oldest - 12 yo, sees it as a bit 'limiting' after now using a Pi 4 and other devices. The micro:bit did its designed job :-) Still, for the price and ease of use, every child should have access to one of these.”

“Kids loved them so much so I had to buy myself a pair (I recommend a minimum of 2 per person, it just increases the range of projects you can do. I use one as a remote to control the other) great fun.”

“A great fun toy to play with and a great way of learning and practicing programming. The MakeCode block-coding app is a very intuitive interface for getting started. The V2 micro:bit has some exciting built-in features to explore also.”

“I got this for my 10 year old and was surprised at how quickly he picked this up. In pedantic mode, my only possible complaint is that there is no switch transition event, just a switch pressed and only then when the switch is released.”

“The Microbit arrived promptly. Next day in fact. Already got it working with a tablet and tried a few programs. Working up to more complicated ones. We would definitely use Pi Hut again”
