“I got this mainly to test the wired communications between two V2 microbits. Testing between V1 and V2 is a bit more difficult since some of the features like the extra touch button is missing from V1. Adapting the code from a 2 button microbit to a 3 button microbit is a bit of a mess since I have to have 2 instances of the editor running on different browsers with two different bits of code. Basically, there isn't enough screen real estate. Just having one editor with two V2s, is a lot easier.”
“My nephew and I wanted to make a bluetooth keyer (a chord keyboard - imagine you can type full speed on a device no larger than your hand). In just one day's hack, we created a working prototype.”
“Very usefull device. Has a lot of sensors already built in. Great support online too, lot sof examples. Easy to set-up and connect to PC using USB. Can also connect to iPhone/iPad using Bluetooth.”
“I’m using the micro:bit with Key Stage 2 age children for model railway applications, and there’s so much we can do with it. We’re only beginning to see the opportunities to apply this tiny computer to solve problems.”
