Plan is to set it up to n my van and have the antenna set up on the roof of the van.

“Purchased to go with a Raspberry Pi to create an ADS-B receiver. This antenna plugged into the receiver and within seconds my RPi started tracking with no problems. I located it in a window near my office close to the airport. It is amazing the range it can receive from there, more than 200 nm!
The ADS-B 1090Mhz SMA Antenna w/ Magnetic Base works great for the Raspberry. I get the same aircraft data as my external antenna. So if you have no place to locate an external antenna, this solution may work for you. Inexpensive and functional. Highly recommended!”
