“Seems good. A fairly small antenna so it's not going to be the best out there I suppose. I don't have an ideal location for placement but I've received aircraft over 100nm away. Base attaches to metal easily. Pi-Hut service was excellent, shipped overseas very quickly.”
“As small whip antennas go, its fine, and yes you will pickup some ADS-B signals if there are planes near enough, but I think to describe it as an ADS-B 1090MHz antenna is plainly inaccurate. It just isn't the right length. But all is not lost. Cut off the cable from the antenna and use the cable to make yourself a 'can-tenna'. Doing this has near doubled the number of ADS-B positions I receive.”
