“I got the pre built version. It was simple to connect, though cutting it from the support sprue needed some good cutters and a slight sanding to smooth the edges. I grabbed some demo code and for what I want this is enough. Using a pi zero to run it, set up systemd to auto run the script. Uses about 0.18A to run. So now I have a nice little sparkly Xmas tree twinkling away.”
