Easy to fit, but then my Pi is not fully enclosed and I'm not using the GPIO pins for anything else. Instructions are easy to follow even if you do end up jumping from one web page to another.

Installed on a BananaPi that seems incapable of getting the time right. This installed without an issue and works great. Cheap and cheerful and does what is expected. Not sure how long the battery lasts for though.

had to use the rasp config tool to enable the i2c interface before the instructions on thepihut would work. other users have said they had problems fitting it into their FLIRC case, but the module i received on 4th Oct 2019 fitted without adjustment on my pi 4 / FLIRC case. only tested with power disconnected for a minute, so dont know how long the super capacitor lasts - but if it lasts three days then that is fine for my applications. some commenters have quoted a week.

These modules are not 100% compatible with all cases. The fans in our plastic cases would bump against the module, and our FLIRC cases have a tube of metal that contacts the CPU to help cool the Pi, but this metal prevents the RTC fitting normally. In both cases, we were able to gently bend the pins on the RTC to a 45 degree angle, and this helped a great deal. Overall these have been great modules, and I will definitely buy them again.

It's funny you should ask this because I can't get this successfully installed. When I run i2detect -y 1 I get uu instead of 68 on the terminal print out screen after following your instructions on your website (including configuring i2c). And looking at Adafruit's instructions including sudo apt-get install -y python-smbus sudo apt-get install -y i2c-tools so my Pi should have been ready to run the RTC but no dice. Very frustrating.

Installing went quick and without problems. The RTC clock is a useful extension of the Raspberry
