“This review concerns the packaging of these logs. The crate was just nailed together, there was no strapping. One side of the crate had "blown" out. The pallet delivery company had to wrap the crate in plastic in order to keep the crate together and hold the logs in place. The company sent photos to Luxury Wood. The crate is in my garage and I am concerned that the crate may give way and cause damage. The method of securing these crates needs to be improved. Disappointed that Luxury Wood have not been in contact...”

“The last two crates I have bought have contained, what I consider to be, too many small logs, more like kindling than logs. I wrote a comment to that effect in an area of the online order form when I bought my last crate; I had no reply or acknowledgment to my comment. The logs of the size described in the advertisement burn very well, hence a three star rating rather than a lesser rating.”

“I found this company when searching for either semi seasoned or seasoned Ash. The whole process has been excellent, the crate is a great size, I ordered 2m3. It arrived on the date given and indeed time. The size and quality is the best I have found, with no space left in the crate with it completely full. I'm already considering ordering another crate ready for Winter 2024. Thank you.”

“The crate of Ash suppled was extremely good and I was very pleased with the quality. However delivery was poor in that on previous deliveries a motorised pallet mover was used to deliver the crate up onto my drive where I could unload securely at a leisurely pace. On this occasion there were two problems, first a non-motorised pallet mover was used which was totally unsuitable for such a large crate. The driver was clearly struggling to even get the crate up onto the pavement even with my dropped curve. But even with me pushing could not get it up my drive. This meant it had to be left unsecured on the pavement and I had to work flat out for the next hours to get it unloaded barrow load by barrow load up my drive I was still at it at 5pm. Second the lorry parked opposite and as lowering the tailgate one of the rear doors blew open striking the rear of my parked car causing minor damage to the paintwork which I have got to rectify.”

“We have used Luxury Wood on numerous occasions and found the logs to be a good quality in both size and burning. Unfortunately the crate we received recently contains a high proportion of very thin pieces which I wouldn’t even class as a log and are not much bigger than the kindling sticks and subsequently burn through in a very short time.Whilst I accept there has got to be a certain proportion of smaller logs this load you have sent me are not up to your usual standard.
