“I know other users have had issues with their new X5 but I’m happy to say I have had no technical issues since I brought it, after recent firmware updates it’s been a pleasure to use, although I must admit that when playing in the rain the touch screen does not work, I have overcome this by putting a screen protector on and so far so good. The side dial os still too sensitive as I wear it on my left wrist and it presses against my glove and sometimes it’s thinks I’m trying to perform a hard reset, if you can stop this then it’ll be 5*’s”

“I found the Shot Scope system really informative since I bought my first Shot Scope back in July 2020. I have used their GPS and Tracking products since then and have always been really impressed until the X5. In my opinion they released the X5 too early, resulting in numerous firmware updates to fix the touch screen, the bezel, relocate the widgets on the screen etc. etc. The watch itself is now a fabulous product except for one glaring issue. When it rains, the touchscreen doesn't work. It hops from screen to screen changing from hole to hole. It interacts with the sleeve of your jacket or jumper and moves from menu to menu which is so frustrating when trying to record shots and keep score. If it was possible, to deactivate the touchscreen while it rained and just use the bexel instead, then this would be great, preventing the rain and garment sleeves interfering with what is such a "quality" product. Also, moving on to new products such as the G5 and Connex before the last one's issues were resolved seems like a greedy move, something for which Shot Scope was not known previously.”

“Great device, easy to use on course and Shotscope provide regular firmware updates to improve the user experience. Occasionally the positions of some putts/hole locations need editing - generally when a tap in or short time over the ball (ie no practice strokes). Elsewhere positions are very accurate. Once the round is uploaded, the app/dashboard generates a ton of stats.”

“In terms of price/quality I think it cant be beat. Was checking also the Garmin watch with the tags but would have cost double. You have to download and adjust shots on the website in order to get the max out of it but it is woth it. It also lets me take the time to review my round after while editing. Performance wise it works well although am having some trouble reading putts when on the green. It sometimes jumps to the next hole but customer assistance is great and are trying to solve this.”

“A great watch, accurate, easy to navigate and comfortable to wear......But is not IP67 and in wet weather is a waste of time! as menus just bounce around at random”

“Great value for money and easy to use, especially with the usability improvements in the latest firmware version. I can't imagine playing a game without it. The accurate GPS distances and scoring capabilities are indispensable on the course. The stats provided through the dashboard and app are super useful and have helped me improve my game.”

“Third generation and replacement for the very good V3. Love the round face and clarity of the information. Have had issues with the sensitivity of the tags and still need to hold the tagged club grip to the watch for the tag to register. The technical back up was very helpful and following lots of dialogue receiving a new X5 the problem improved but was not fully resolved. However, it is a great piece of kit and the stats are brilliant at pin-pointing strengths and weaknesses.”
