I purchased the X5 because of the non-subscription plan being offered. I was not going to pay $160 per year to arccos. The watch provides me with the info I need to enjoy my game. Having purchased new clubs in Feb. I needed new yardage for each club. This fit the bill. It does miss 7-10 shots per round but the arrcos system missed 20 shots per round. A vast improvement to me. Nothing is perfect but the watch serves it purpose for me. Items I would like to see improvement on. 1. Changing a hole is difficult 2. Changing a score is difficult 3. If you start on the back the watch wants to end the round after hole 18. No option to move to hole 1. Forces you to go into the menu to change hole. See point 1 4. The watch only lasts one round. After a round I am down to 40% battery

The battery doesn't last for 36 holes. I played a tourney a few weeks ago and it gave out after about 30 holes. I just went on a golf trip and didn't use the scoring feature and it only lasted 32 holes. The swipe feature isn't reliable. Same with trying to press icons on the screen. Some distances are off. I do like knowing distances I get off each club each shot.

I purchase a V3 watch at its introductory price and was very happy with its performance after some initial debugging by Shot Scope. Similarly, I purchased the X5 at its introductory price and, again, after some initial debugging by Shot Scope, have been very happy with its performance. Although, many of the comments about the X5 on the Shot Scope User Group Facebook page have been negative, I have chalked up a lot of them up to little or no understanding of the operating instructions. It seems there is a reluctance these days to read instructions or watch the instructional videos.

In short, I love the watch. For a reasonable one time cost, you get a lifetime of usable stats and gps features, the new phone app is awesome as well making this a viable option to arcos.

The watch and shot scope in general is great!! Sometimes the updating process can be a bit glitchy and the battery drains a little quick. The accuracy is good and logon times are better than the v-series. It’s a great feeling watch which delivers!!!!

The screen cracked after only a couple of weeks. Reported it to Shot Scope and got that there was nothing they could do because to them it "LOOKED" like a scritch. Very poor customer service.

Hit and miss, looks much better than the V3 but doesn't function as well, too many clicks required. Shotscope promised map views on the watch by summer which is why I purchased but they are nowhere to be seen.

X5 is comfortable to wear, loads relatively quickly and stores information fairly well. Editing on my mobile is relatively simple. Charging works fine and it looks good. Despite all the above, it has been disappointing. I had a V2 & then a V3 before this. The last update on the V3 was excellent and finally made it a reliable unit to use. I changed to the X5 because those appeared to offer me even more with good battery life, additional functions like step counting etc and a seemless change over from what I was already familiar with. In practice, the watch performs but battery is down to 35 / 40% after one round. Getting it to connect to the app required deletion of the app on my phone and re-installing. Every update has been the same. Help used to be excellent but now does not respond as well. I feel it was rushed out when it was still being developed and the comments on the user group seem to support this. It's a shame because there is so much potential in the unit and your team.
