“I really love the ease of starting a round and tracking my shots from the watch. Pro-tip – turn off the screen locking feature. I have had no problem with the watch recognizing my club selections and the GPS, recorded shot locations and recorded distances are game changers. On the green however is where this kind of falls over. I have yet to finish a round with what I thought was an adequate tracking of my putting - including even the number of putts per hole. By the time I replace the flag, record the score of my partners, walk off the green the watch has moved on to the next hole. I then have to remember to go back to the previous hole and record the number of my putts. I have never been able to track location of putts -- like the first putt was from 20 feet, the second putt was 4 feet and the 3rd putt (doh!) was from 1 foot. After the round I also want to be able to easily go and modify things (like putt locations - or sometimes shot locations) and have found that extremely difficult/impossible in the ios app. It's like the app fights against me preventing me from doing what I want to do. The flow should be simple: Watch - gathers real time data from the round App / Web - displays the round data / allows for editing of the data / finalizes the round / tracks all data from all rounds It just doesn't seem to work like that. I should be able to edit/update my info as I wish. if my 6th shot was with a putter from off the green instead of the tracked 7 iron I should be able to change it. Would I recommend the X5? Heck yeah and I already have. Can the experience be further improved? For sure.”

“This watch has my wife using it for yardages and rarely uses her range finder. She now pays attention to yardages more as she reviews her club distances. Take a lot of guesswork out.”

“I have now owned 3 Shot Scope GPS watches and can honestly say they just keep getting better all the time. The V3 was nice functional watch but the charger was a weird alligator type device that was a bit cumbersome, although I did have a need to use it again not too long ago. The V5 was and is an excellent watch as well. The charger was a great improvement over the V3 and it has so many more improvements such as scoring. Along comes the X5 with once again improves on the V5 by adding touch screen and just a single dial/button. Almost all functions can be accessed by touch even unlocking the watch with a simple slide upwards. Like any new technology, there is a learning curve and I a, still learning how to get everything out of it that I can. It really does a ,other. Scoring, distances, hazards, pin placement, on and on. So far it is a real delight and I know personally how well Shot Scope stands behind their products.”

“Replaced my X5 with an X5. Why? Because it is a fantastic product. My 1st one lasted 5 years when the battery just would not last 18 holes. They could not replace the battery so I ordered a new one.”

“Trued my x5 and tags this weekend. Watch could not find the right courses and therefore the f,m,b were mostly worthless. When it did work it was great! Hopefully the watch will find the ext course I play and it will be worth the mo ey!”
