“We had a wonderful visit to the Kings Head. A lovely warm welcome, from a very pet friendly team. The accommodation was in a separate building to the pub, which meant it was very peaceful. Our dog was able to join us for both dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, and thoroughly enjoyed his sausages! Around the pub, there are loads of walks, including Roseberry Topping. We would definitely return if in the area. The only reason they didn't score 5 stars, was the weather was warm when we visited, but the heating had been left on, and the hot stuffy room meant we didn't get a good night's sleep.”

“We had an excellent stay at the Kings Head. In a quiet location but within a few miles of the coast. The room was comfortable and clean. The place is definitely dog friendly. Good food and the level of service was great. The staff without exception were friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Plenty of choice on the menu for breakfast and dinner.”

“We had a great weekend stay at the King’s Head. Staff were universally lovely and did really like dogs. We have a Lab and a Border Terrier and they could not have been more helpful. Food was very good, room comfortable, and service excellent. Staff also very helpful with charging our electric car and could not do enough to help. Very friendly spot and I would highly recommend it. Great base for exploring North Yorkshire with excellent road links also very good local dog walks.”

“First time we’ve used a dog friendly hotel, it certainly won’t be the last we had a very good time staying at the kings head Inn, the manager, Eddie was most helpful, him and his staff made us and our 14 month old labradoodle very welcome, nothing was too much trouble and even gave my dog a sausage for her breakfast. Would highly recommend anyone have a dog friendly holiday break with their family pet”

“Great location for walks around Roseberry Mount, lovely pub with good food/breakfast. Rooms separate from the pub and are very comfortable. Stayed on a Saturday and Sunday evening, Sunday lunch/early evening busy but the evening was very quiet and mainly guests. Negatives - WIFI was very weak/flakey husband had to find an alternative solution for a work call on the Monday. The floor above our room was very noisy/creaky so every time someone moved in the room above it was noisy. The dog thoroughly enjoyed running around on the green opposite and the walks on the doorstep.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Staff need to be careful about preparing cutlery etc in pub area V noisy clattering for some time late evening

“V clean comfortable room.Staff generally welcoming and efficient,Food average altho v good Christmas Day meal. Few rules and regulations, ! .Pub grub! Good position for touring spectacular area.Rooms separate from main building.Well kept area around rooms.Busy main road but good d glazing.”
