“Great location for a walk up Roesberry Topping. Accommodation was clean and tidy, although we didn’t get the doggie treats in our room as stated on the petspyjarmas website. Pub welcomes dogs but felt like they had to be quiet and lay still so they didn’t disturb other guest. When we arrived the advice we were given was to take our dogs on a long walk, get them tired out so they can lay down and sleep when we got back for food. I didn’t really know how to take that to be honest. The dogs only seemed to get a fuss when they made a noise it felt like we were being told discreetly to keep the noise down. Just made me feel a little uncomfortable especially as this was my first time away owning two dogs. One a puppy and one 8 years old. I don’t think I would go back to this hotel, although it was a great location, food was OK and they did have a doggie menu. I have clicked no for did you receive a warm welcome, I couldn’t say yes because I was made to feel uncomfortable but it wasn’t horrendous and there were plenty of other people in the pub with dogs. One family did move seats when I went to sit in the table next to them which I was quite upset about. But I do understand that not everyone wants dogs next to them when they are eating.”

“We stayed last Friday and Saturday night and had a great stay. The location is great for exploring the local area, which is beautiful!! Daisy our Dalmatian was welcomed from the moment we arrived, she loved the attention she got from everyone!! We ate in the pub for both breakfast and our evening meal, this was lovely especially breakfast (Daisy loved her doggie sausage!). Overall we all had a lovely stay and we’d definitely recommend.”

“I would thoroughly recommend this Inn. The staff are extremely friendly and keen to do anything they can to make your stay perfect. The room was excellent, comfortable bed, clean, modern bathroom and ample space for Daisy's bed etc. The restaurant was also excellent. the food likewise and Daisy loved the complimentary sausage at breakfast. I can't think of any negative comments for this Inn. We will certainly return in the future.”
