Another major bargain from mx5parts! Superb quality, 100% polished Stainless Steel, single exit exhaust for the Mk1. Made exclusively by us, for us, this great exhaust has 57mm main pipework and a 90mm dual sleeve exit pipe.Tested and confirmed BHP Gain of 4 - 5! (Also increased torque)Supplied complete with all gaskets and fixing bolts. Fits Mk1 1989>1996 (upto chassis number JMZ...308212) having either the 370 or 440mm cat (please check!). Looks like it should be £300.00 worth. Five year warranty!

“Well this is the second review for this exhaust but more of a pat on the back for MX5 Parts really, having had the exhaust on the car now for just over 12 months i thought i could hear a blowing from the back box. On investigation i found that the weld where the pipe goes into the box had cracked all the way round, on contacting MX5 Parts i was asked to send pictures of the crack which also showed where the exhaust gases had stained the box. A complete exhaust was shipped out as there is a 5 year warrenty on it no questions asked, cant fault MX5 Parts or the exhust just one of those things that happens but just goes to show the great aftersales of MX5 Parts”

“Five stars to MX5 Parts for their service - I turned up at half past five (closing time according to the sign on the door) in need of an exhaust and the chap was very obliging despite obviously not expecting any more customers!Anyway, the exhaust itself seemed pretty well made (although the welding of some of the stays to the midpipe seemed a bit aggressive, having taken a lot of the support with it) and definitely worth £190. It was pretty well packaged too although, at the risk of being Mr. Picky, there was a small mark on the back box where one of the midpipe stays had rubbed whilst in the box.Having struggled to get the old exhaust off the new one went on very easily - everything lined up perfectly. Used some silicon lubricant on the rubber hangers, it really helps with inserting things into tight holes.The perceived loudness is just about spot on, not intrusive in the cabin but noticeably not standard and matches the character of the car. Same goes for the tone, although a little raspy through 2-4k rpm for my taste but I think this is abating with more running in. Sounds really good past 4.5k rpm and a nice little burble on the overrun down through the 2k rpm region. A great buy.Note to Editor - you might consider altering the website footer that says the shop is open until 6pm or else you\'ll get more people turning up when the office staff expect to be going home.Editors Note! “Tres bon rapport qualite prix , transforme reellement le bruit de la mimix , un vrai plaisir de rouler decapote .Je conseille car il se pose en un clin d'oeil à la place de l'ancien , les vis ecrous et joints sont fournis dans le colis , commandé le vendredi en angleterre et receptionne le mardi par tansporteur .”

“i waited two months for this and the cat by pass,as they were on order,they arrived at mx5 parts friday morning,dispatched the same day,and i received monday morning.Ace as usual, i took the exhaust out of the box and was gobsmacked....the flanges are about 7mm thick,so very sturdy and won't warp, there tig welded very smoothly and radiused,so should never stress crack,the wall thickness of the tubing is excellent,the hangars are perfectly shaped,and in the correct place.The back box is just as nice...i'm and insurance engineer,and have worked on cars all my life,and was very impressed with the quality of this product,bargain at this price.Drove for the first time this morning,amazed with people saying its loud,miles quieter than my old box which was a jdm one,in fact its quite muted, not put the bypass on,as mot time tomorrow,will do after that,, but it does feel cleaner on pick up,a bit crisper with throttle response,i would say there is a power gain but only a small one.Glad i bought it....highly recommended”

“Usual efficient delivery service. What a great looking item. Old exhaust came away from the Cat easily after a good soaking with penetrating oil. New shiny exhaust fitted perfectly and no dramas. Exhaust note just a bit more throaty but not too loud. Great product and service.”
