“If you don’t like loud exhausts or want to remain inconspicuous, this is not the exhaust for you. However if you’re on a budget but want a good quality exhaust and don’t mind it loud & raucous, read on. This exhaust is seriously loud when first fitted! The exhaust shop that fitted it, gave me the option of fitting a small mid resonator to tone things down, but after reading reviews, I chose not to, believing it would quieten down over time. After scaring all the small children & grannies in the neighbourhood, for the 1st 1000 or so km, it has lost some of the raucousness and the tone has evened out into a nice (but still loud) race car like sound. There is a slight drone with the roof up cruising at 100kmh, but overall I am still enjoying the burble & exhaust pops on deceleration , and the glorious (but loud) noise under normal acceleration. Highly recommended if you don’t mind it loud:)”

“Ive had this system on my mk1 1.6 for around 2.5k KMs now. It's insanly loud with a decat fitted, my ears were ringing for hours after a hard drive, not recommended two days and i had to fit the cat again. With the cat fitted and some miles covered i love this exhaust to bits, best modification so far. When the car is properly warmed up the sound is deep and not raspy.Fitting was a 30 minute job, all hardware and gaskets were supplied. Its sits level also 100% recommended (with a cat)”

“I cannot fault the quality, fitment or sound of this system. I have the stainless manifold and decat also fitted. It sounds crisp and just the right level of 'loud' for me! It doesn't just sound like a small engined car with a noisy exhaust, it has a really nice sound. Go for the twin exit as looks much nicer than the single. Also the service I receive from mx5 parts is always excellent and I cannot fault their customer service. Buy it! You won't be disappointed.”

“Very good sounding exhaust especially when coupled with a straight through center pipe. Only thing is the left pipe hangs too low, so further adjustment is needed throughout the whole system in order for the pipes to hang evenly.”

“Sounds quality and was easy to fit, took me about an hour and a half, the only fault is that its a little wonky but can sort that just by adgusting the mounts but other that that spot on”

“The only thing better than MX5Parts delivery is the SOUND this unit produces! I have to fight my wife to decide who's driving. Really easy to fit with rear end up on ramps. Fitted in conjunction with decat-pipe and it's not obtrusive noise; deep growl at low revs, not harsh if you're gentle with right-foot, but if you want appropriate noise for the MX, stick your foot to the floor... GRRRRRRREAT!”
