“Arrived the following day. Looks really good on the car. I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews but the style bar fitted perfectly. Have to say though I struggled trying to understand the instructions. Took me about 3 attempts before I realised how it fitted. I think it would be better having instructions without the pictures which I found confusing. If you are contemplating a style bar go for it, you wont be disappointed,”

“So pretty & very easy to fit. If my pathetic girlie wrists had been strong enough to undo the bolts (& I'd known how to use a socket set properly!!) I could have done this on my own, as it was with Hubby's help it was done in under 30 minutes & that included having to go off & finding some washers because for some reason there weren't any put on my Mk2 originally. Just love these bars!”

“Order am Friday and paid extra to have them delivered Saturday am, arrived as promised. Bit of a fiddle getting right amount of washers & spacers needed for bar to be level with top of seat belt post. Apart from that, they fitted fine and took about 40 mins. There was a part of the polished bar not polished and afew scratches down passenger side, but was able to sort these minor things out with a polish mop and power drill. Great customer service from MX5 parts. Style bar looks fantastic on car, especially with roof cover fitted, all neat and tidy and able to retain original wind blocker.”

“These look great on my mk2 and I can keep the factory wind blocker too.With fitting I found it best to first get a couple of 25mm bolts with 10mm hex heads plus washers from Halfords to replace the fitted screws that are not up to the job of fitting this bar.There are three points each side to secure and I found it best to fit one side fully then loosely secure the three points namely seatbelt bolt and top and bottom screw / bolts. Tighten each a half turn until fitted tight to side. Itlooks at first like there is too big a gap to take up but keep turnning each in rotation and it fits perfectly.I have needed to put a couple of plastic sicky back bungs on the factory wind blocker to stop it rattling on the style bar but very pleased with out come and it looks good with hood up or down.”

“I arrived back from holiday to find an email from MX5 parts detailing an offer for the Mk2.5 style bar. As the deadline for ordering had passed by about half an hour I expected to be asked to pay the full price. I was surprised to get my purchase at the offer prive. I ordered & it duly arrived the next day. My son-in-law was on hand to help fitment on the Saturday morning. It was pretty much straightforward but not the excact fit that I had expected. The perspex windblocker is that poorer fit that I have never taken the protective coating off it. So I do not know if it works or not. All in all I am fairly happy with it as it looks the part.”

“I bought the style bar for my wife when they were on special offer. I received the kit OK but it looked like it had been a return at some point. However, the product was not damaged in anyway and still had all the wrapping.I had a brace bar which I removed to allow the style bar to fit. The fit was not fantastic, like a previous reviewer commented, they could do with a bit more design work. There is no washer shipped with the unit to allow the supplied screws to be used to secure the side flanges which is very odd. The seat belt mountings are prevented from rotating correctly although this does not affect their operation, however, the plastic bolt covers do not fit back on without having to trim them up which I have not done. Instead I am looking for a smaller bolt cover to finish the job.In all, they look good which my wife is pleased about but, they would benefit from a couple of manufacturing changes. If they had not been on special offer I think I would have been quite disappointed.3 stars for the bar5 stars for the MX5 Parts customer service”

“Fitted my new Style Bars yesterday and they look great! Delivery was impressive as they arrived the day after ordering. However, the instructions are not the best. Both of the holes for the original factory fitted windblocker line up with the holes in the new Style Bars on the drivers' side but only one of the holes lined up on the passenger side. Also, the plastic covers that fit onto the seat belt retaing bolts no longer fitted. I was also a bit worried when re-tightening the seat belt bolts to 79NM (as per the instuctions) as I thought that I was ging to strip the threads so I stopped at 70NM. Finally, there were also some minor scratches at the bottom of the Style Bars but not that bad to warrant sending the product back.”

“Just installed this bar. Must say the fitting is not super easy, but its doable by someone who is able to hold a screwdriver, I would rank the ease of installation 5/10, even with the instruction. But I think the result is very good. In my eye it looks great, thats why I give it a rating 5/5. Didnt take it on the road yet though, so dont know how the windblocker works”
