About Mooncup:

Mooncup began with a clear goal: to give people a healthier, sustainable way to manage their periods.

Back in 2002, we launched the world’s first medical-grade silicone menstrual cup, pioneering a movement that put health and the planet first. We saw an industry where profit came before people, ingredients were hidden, and plastics reigned, so we challenged the status quo.

Now, we're on a mission to become the world’s biggest sustainable period care brand. We’ve just launched Mooncup period pads into Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Look Fantastic. We’re also partnering with workplaces, gyms and hotels (like Canva, Danone, Third Space, Gymshark and Claridge’s) to offer free period care in bathrooms.

We use only science-backed, body-safe ingredients because your period products should work with your body, not against it.

Actually after trying this out after two months, I am more and more impressed , Yes it takes getting use too as everyone keeps saying, and your own unique technique comes into play when inserting and removing , but I must admit I am now a true believer and wouldn't want to return to lillets or pads ever again , I do have to use a liner on day one , but after that i am all good to go , not sure about bikini season on day one yet , might have to resort to lillets for a single day , but will hit that hurdle when it comes, its extremely comfortable ( after the first niggles of figuring it out ) and very discreet , not more strings to look out for , I am now a fan and I am promoting it when ever I can

Would have given this a 5star but I still have to use a panty liner for the 1st day or 2 of my cycle unless I use a tampon to dry out for the 1st few hours. It certainly is a money saver and I perhaps still need to get the angle right to stop the very minor leakage in days 1 and 2. Its a little messy for me when emptying so having a sink nearby is pretty neccessary, and practice is definately needed, but I would still recommend it. I'm just over 30 with no children using a b cup.

I tried this cup as my first menstrual cup and I'm glad I did because this is much softer than the Femmecup which I also bought. I am 24 and I have never had children and it was the perfect fit for me. It was very comfortable as I cannot feel it when I am wearing it. The softness of the cup doesn't stop the seal and it is easy to grab with the outside grips. Because I am rather overweight (size 22), I do have a little difficulty "reaching" and getting it out but I think with a little more practice I will have got the hang of it and maybe a few tips so I would recommend this to anyone, even if you are overweight.

It works perfectly well once inside. But I find it a little too big so I can find it uncomfortable/painful sometimes inserting/removing. But once inside its really comfortable and I've never had any leakage with it. So I'd recommend it. Itd just be nicer if they made it slightly smaller for us petite ladies.

This is simply fantastic!Such a small thing can make a big difference. I am very surprised that I'd never heard of it before. I came across this on Amazon quite by chance and I'm so pleased I tried it.I have only used it for one period but already I feel so positive about it.Every month I used designated "time-of-the-month" panties so my good panties didn't get ruined from pulling off the sticky liners. It was a mess and I would always leak which just makes me feel grotty and like I need a shower. After I received my Mooncup, I tried inserting it and trimmed the stem so I was used to using it before my period started. I tried leaving it in and it felt uncomfortable, I thought perhaps it wouldn't work for me if it was going to feel so sore wearing it.When I came on, I immediately started using the Mooncup and I think it just naturally moved a little further up but it was instantly undetectable and felt so comfortable. I have been very pleasantly surprised considering how it felt whilst I was practising with it.Why has this not been advertised on tv? Women need to be made aware of this as it makes life so much easier. To not be constantly worried of making a mess is liberating, I feel more relaxed and not so acutely aware of my flow. I don't need urgent toilet dashes and feel so confident with using it already. This is going to save me money as I'm not buying liners and will no longer need to buy 'period panties'.I am 37 and according to the guidelines, I should have purchased model A. However, because I practice pelvic floor exercises and do some yoga, I decided to buy model B. I'm petite too so I hoped that would be better and it fits perfectly for me.It takes some practice, especially if like me, you need to remove most of the stem. It is a bit messy too but it's a small price to pay overall. I take a small lidded pot of water into the toilet and rinse the Mooncup easily before re-inserting. I make sure I have wet-wipes too.I really can't recommend this highly enough. I know it's pretty expensive to buy but in the long term, it will save you money as well as it being so much better for our beautiful planet.

as many reviewers i was initially a bit sceptical with the whole menstrual cup business.... Because I read so much positive comments about it I thought I should man up and give it a go..... I am a silly girl for not trying it ages ago as it's totally amazing idea & product. I feel it's definitely much cleaner than tampons and pads. Having said that it takes time to get used to seeing one's own waste being taken out of body I will no lie about that ...But the advantages by using cup are just worth it... starting from longer periods of time one can have the device in 'use' (i do not have particularly heavy periods but still 8 hours is just amazing especially if one travels), you do not have to have any other means in place 'just in case' or worry if you took enough pads or tampons in your bag to keep you going, so much better for environment as there is no disposal of used stuff, practically no smell associated with the decomposition of one's waste, if inserted properly cup is held in place in ladies parts without being felt even being there.only thing which i would point out.... I had a cup with stem at the end but I am considering getting one with a little ball which makes removing the cup easier and maybe different colour that having a clear cup other than that I think if one is pondering if to try this device, you should definitely go for it.

It took me about a week to get used to it but once I had, I have never looked back since. It has never leaked unless too full which takes a lot and means I am obviously having a heavy period.I can't tell it's there once fitted and is more comfortable then tampons.I've used it so I can go and do water sports or go to the gym etc without worry. It's super easy to clean and between uses, I literally wash it under really hot water with some hand soap (I make sure the water is always to hot to use on my hands directly temp wise) and then i rub it down with alcohol gel for a minute before washing that off as its quicker to clean it this way then boiling it and this method will still steralise it. Just dont leave it in the alcohol gel or it will damage the silicone.I have a coil fitted and it doesn't cause me any problems. I've used the same Mooncup for 6 years and its still perfectly fine, so I've actually saved myself close to £300 by buying a mooncup instead of forking out £5 odd every month on tampons so you soon make your money back within one year minimum. So its easy to use, efficient and money saving. Is it a bit messy sometimes removing and emptying, yes but you get used to it surprisingly quick.

After stumbling across this product on the internet and reading some of the reviews I felt I had to try it! I had suffered from over 10 years of menstrual cramps ever since starting my period, then more recently I found using tampons and pads increasingly uncomfortable, and due to an irregular flow could never quite predict what absorbency tampon to use on different days, meaning it was really uncomfortable...not good for 5-6 days out of every 30! I also liked the eco-friendly concept as well as the fact that it is a much healthier form of sanitary protection, not to mention the long term saving.I've been using my mooncup for about 4 cycles now.In my experience the positives are.....~It is a lot more comfortable to wear once inserted~It doesn't need emptying half as often as you would have to change a pad or tampon~It doesn't fill up your bin with rubbish (which is not the most pleasant sort!)~It is easy to clean with a little warm water or a wet wipe~It doesn't leak very much at all - I have always and probably always will wear a pantyliner while I'm on even when using a tampon or the mooncup...I won't lie, I have had a little leakage from the cup but literally nothing that would go through a thin pantyliner over an entire day. And it doesn't always leak, just sometimes. Hopefully this will stop as I get more used to positioning it right!~It is not causing uncomfortable dryness "down there" like pads and tampons were.~No more wearing what feels like a nappy to bed!!~I've also noticed I've had a lighter flow since using the mooncup and its less thick (yuk), also cramps have been reduced although sadly not gone away completely :(The downsides................~It is a bit hard to get to grips with the first couple of months/times that you use it, it is a skill to get it in and out easily....but practice makes perfect~I would say everyone will certainly need to remove the stem, which is a scary thought at first, but its a must if you want it to be comfortable and not rub you~As mentioned, it can leak a little in my experience, although if it leaks majorly its definitley not been inserted properly.~It is a bit nauseating the first time you see an actual cup full of your own menstrual blood, but again, its something you soon get used to and really isn't much more gross than a skanky used pad or tampon! At least you can flush this away!~If you are using a public toilet or a toilet where the basin is outside the cubicle then this makes it more difficult, and I would advise taking a small pack of wipes or bottle of water with you so you can clean your hands and the cup discreetly.~My other half is a bit disgusted by it.....but this is the least important downside of it!!All things considered I think it's a great invention and I wish I'd heard of it sooner, and would definitely recommend it to people, even if you find it isn't for you, its worth a try!
