I ordered a replacement PVR on 23 Oct to replace a u/s Freesat box. I already had two similar models in use. They seemed to work perfectly. Within a few days of receipt, the new box started to cause me problems - particularly in the start-up phase. It got so that I had to switch off and on a number of times at the wall socket before I could get a picture and then the Media and Pause functions usually didn't work. This happened on the majority of occasions. On Christmas Day, it took four switchings and 25 minutes before I was able to watch a programme. At least with the new one, I can get a picture after pressing just two buttons - thank you, Sean and colleagues.

Happy enough customer. Good style & size. Love the EPG with TV picture in-many don`t have thatl i looked at Humax first because my last Humax had that feature. It`s VERY slow connecting, slower than my old one. Why? No display on the front. I miss that. Previous Humax had clock when it was `off` and displayed channel when `on`,( I could change the channel before the TV had kicked in!)Not keen on folders in recordings library (or that they just label that`Videos` instead of recordings library)-maybe I`m not geeky enough.Prefer a nice simple list which I can change the order of (a-z or oldest-newest).

I found it a little difficult at first, due to the fact that it had been replaced with an older version! Generally a very good buy and worth the cost.

This was very easy to set up with good instructions. Using it is pretty self explanatory. We had a bit of a problem with the picture suddenly distorting, but went online and someone solved it by making sure the TV picture was set at 16:9. That worked fine. We wanted it for recording Freeview programmes and it does that and playing back is simple. So far we have only used the hard disk but if necessary will try a USB stick for storage. Took one star off because the TV Guide only has a few programmes at a time whereas our last box had a much larger overview. All in all though a very good box.

Didn't work properly from the start. Humax didn't reply to me emails (over two weeks) about the problem. Finally got through on the phone and Humax agreed to replace the item. That was over a week ago. Still nothing.
