“My old Humax Fox T2 started playing up a few weeks ago, and finally gave up the ghost when deleting a lot of recordings. This new Aura with 2Tb compared to the previous 1Tb has been working now for a couple of weeks. First thoughts were that it was very plasticky compared to the sold, quality metal chassis of the Fox. The start up and functionality of the Aura is quite a bit faster than the Fox, so a plus there. The new guide screen to me seems like a step backwards. When setting up a recording, the old box showed a bright circle in the recorded item. The new box has a tiny, tiny white R in a white circle on a reddish background, ....quite hard to see, in fact to me, the old Fox screen was 100% better. The library screen showing your recordings works well enough, but I still prefer the one on the Fox. I haven't used some of the other features yet, less important to me, but the freeview part will be important to a lot of people. Time will tell if it's a reliable replacement.”

Few points I think could do with fine tuning.
When watching on the Aura app it doesn’t appear that you can resume a program you have already started watching and vice versa.
I f ten think I’ll finish watching on my iPad in bed but have to skip 10 seconds at a time to get to where I was ..
Please fix it ..

Android-based -Used this coding a few years ago, as was stated could the platform would not
have to change for updates !! updates required updates did require changes in hardware and cost more than £10K, hope you will be prepared for this. The other no-go is it requires an old TV ariel...back to analog again, why did Humax not get the satellite dispute sorted out I wonder. Maybe this is goodbye Humax...don't buy I have been partner selling these units for over ten years, just not good business

“This is the third Humax we’ve owned & is by far the best. Quickly got used to the new interface & remote. Being able to record 4 programmes at once while watching another is a massive improvement.
Yes it would be good to include Netflix but as we have a smart TV, this isn’t an issue. Would definitely recommend!’”
