It is excellent and has none of the poor features of the previous model which we bought, which was very slow and cumbersome in contrast.

I was so impressed with mine I ordered a second one. Shame about the lack of Netflix but otherwise it's an excellent unit.

I wrote an email to Humax on the 30/11/22 detailing problems I'm having and have been for months, but have not heard back, I shall call soon and hopefully can resolve this problem, this is the email I wrote below. About 5-6 months ago the Humax Aura 4K 2TB started showing some strange signs of issues, listed below Minor issues Issue 1) power on TV & Humax sometimes I would just see a black screen with sound, the only way to resolve this was to power off & on the humax. Issue 2) started around 6 months ago, while watching a program the screen would go black for a couple of seconds and then reappear, this would happen sometimes but when it did it would continuously do this every few minutes. Issue 3) started powering off intermittently (very annoying when playing what was in the buffer, so lost due to shutdown) Major issues Issue 1) started around 2 months ago, I had a few recordings in the list some I wanted to save some hadn’t watched, and a few in the series recorded schedules, one evening, wanted to play back one of the recordings, to my shock there was NOTHING there, also the recording schedules had disappeared as well. This has happened to most Humax products I’ve had in the past. Issue 2) the same happened again on Sunday 27th Nov 2022, 0 recordings 0 schedules, I’m very angry with this because I had some classic favourite movies I wanted to keep and hadn’t even watched yet on Humax and lots of other recordings & schedules. Before I shut down and unplugged the unit I took a photo of that state showing 0 recordings with 80% free space. After powering back up 3 recordings appeared all unplayable and with 94% Free space, strange. I have photo evidence of all this. I have had to reset the device AGAIN, I’m not happy, this keeps happening as with other Humax products in the past. I have a 2 year warranty on this product and by The Consumer Rights Act 2015 it’s unacceptable. I would be grateful if it could be replaced or money refunded. I was going to buy a second one of these but I think I’ll hold out.

An instruction book is essential. Having one on your website is NOT sufficient, given how differently every aspect works compared with your previous models. Apart from that, provided it proves to be reliable, I am satisfied with it.

The Aura is brilliant. Still coming to terms with how it all works but seems to have sorted itself out automatically when switched on with new TV. It automatically picked up our wifi router so all the free apps are working. Still have our Humax Freesat box and it does seem to have problems when I switch that on, it switches on the Aura too. Then the Aura seems to take over, I have had to switch the Humax Freesat off completely so it's no longer on stand-by. It appears the handset on the Freesat operates the Aura, rather it didn't so not sure what can be done!
