“Takes ages to find a space as there isn't a space availiability information screen as you land on each floor. Also needs a VIP parking area with wider spaces for people with bigger cars and bigger budgets.”
“I parked my car. It was still there when I got back. It cost approximately twice as much to park it as two days' car hire in Dublin. There is little more to add. Except, unusually, there was no attempt to charge me £150 as I left. I wonder how many people actually pay this and forget / can't be bothered / are passing on the cost anyway? Nice little earner.”
“Ok, so google maps look me left at the roundabout instead of straight on where I needed to go. I ended up driving through the pickup/dropoff, so luckily when I pressed the intercom, the kind fellow let me through without charging me and directed me to the correct entrance off the roundabout (which is quite well signposted to be fair!). I had a booking at 135 pounds or so for the week(Multi-storey refundable), which is quite expensive, but I needed a quick escape as my flight got in at 1:20am and I needed to drive to Aberdeen. I took a ticket from the barrier on the way in and found a space pretty quickly on the 1st floor. When I went to leave at 2am the following week, I'd hope the barrier would just open to let me out ?car reg reader? Didn't happen anyway. I put the ticket in, the machine said I had the "wrong car park" and presented me with the joyful vision of a 500 pound bill for the week of parking! YOIKS! So anyway I pressed the intercom button again and gave my reg (probably to the same fellow that helped me out last time!) and they let me escape for nothing. I had my booking reference etc. ready and had no idea if I was actually parked in the right place or the reg reader hadn't worked, or I had messed up the system with my drive through of the drop-off/pick-up. But ultimately, it all worked out fine and most of it was probably my own fault and I didn't have to pay an additional 500 pounds, which was a bit scary!”
“Automatic number plate recognition at entry to multi-storey didn’t work. Parking had been pre-paid, but wrong registration number on ticket issued at entry barrier meant being presented with a demand for £680 on exit. In fairness this was readily resolved over the exit barrier intercom, but should never have arisen.”
