However, the smell of it recently has been so potent and almost like gasoline and that’s why I’ve knocked a star off. I wish it was slightly better fragranced but otherwise this is a holy grail item. “It’s still too early to draw conclusions about the results because I’ve just bought it and I’m at that stage of having finished my patch tests and having just applied it to my whole face for the first time. In other words, I’m at that point of being careful with the amount during the initial use of a retinoid and of respecting the general recommendations about gradually increasing frequency. But for now I can say that this serum seems gentle on the skin and I haven’t noticed any discomfort. I’ve always had reactions with retinol (the single retinoid that I tried in my life) during patch tests: some redness and itching. With this serum I don’t notice any redness, itching, or any other discomfort at all.
What I also appreciate is its texture: it’s so light and silky that it makes it easy to apply to the face. The texture is truly pleasant. And although it’s too soon to speak about the results, I believe this will be my retinoid serum that I can finally use consistently.
