Our Galician Whole Beef Fillet is sourced from the highest quality beef in Galicia, Northwest Spain. We only use retired dairy cows between 8 and 12 years old, which are chubbier and have a higher percentage fat content, giving the fillet a distinct and unique flavour. The beef is dry-aged for a minimum of 7 days, allowing for natural grass-fed marbling. This lean, mean, and tender cut is prized for its quality and can be enjoyed as steaks or a roast.

“Got this monster sized fillet from Basco. I love the marbling and just from looking at you can see the quality. I lived in Spain for 4 years so already appreciate the quality of Spanish meat which is from older cows rather than the younger meat we have in the UK. I portioned it into 7 double steaks. Pan fry it and the. A few minutes in the oven to bring it up to rare. Taking thin slices smothered in melted blue cheese. Delicious.”

“I ordered the Galician beef fillet for Christmas meaning to keep it in the deep freeze until then. However when it arrived it was so big, a shade under 3 kilos, that I cut the fillet mignon off and cooked it. It was the best beef that I have tasted with the tenderness of fillet but the rich taste of beef which is often not so pronounced with fillet. I am really looking forward to eating the rest on Christmas day. Thoroughly recommended.”

“Excellent fillet steak- we cut it into steaks as suggested ( for freezing) and 2 larger pieces for beef Wellington. We also had 2 steaks cooked as suggested and they were very tender. Looking forward to ordering more.”

“Really excellent - just had 750g roasted for 3 - and loads left. Lovely favour and melted in the mouth. Great thing is if you are not cooking for a crowd - difficult during lockdown! - you can portion and freeze. Very impressed and will definitely buy again.”
