Iberico Baby Back Pork Ribs, Acorn & Herb Flavored, High in Mono-unsaturated Fats, 1.2Kg Reviews

Iberico Baby Back pork ribs are cut straight from the Iberico pork loin. They are very succulent and tasty while maintaining our excellent quality. These ribs are smaller in size than those of a standard white pig, but the flavour of Iberico ribs is far superior. The indigenous black Iberico pigs roam the Dehesa forests of southwest Spain, where they graze on herbs, grass, and most importantly, acorns. This diet adds wonderful flavour to these Baby Back pork ribs, and the exercise they get fosters the marbling that makes Iberico pork ribs so special. The acorn and herb flavoured pork is high in mono-unsaturated fats that melt at low temperatures, and is more healthy than the fat from normal pork. Iberico Baby Back pork ribs have a higher fat content than standard white pork ribs, but their flavour is more complex because of the grass, herbs, and acorns on which the animals grazed. They are easy to cook and are a great choice for anyone looking to try something new.

Quite honestly the best thing I've ever eaten. I marinaded them overnight in a homemade BBQ sauce, slow cooked them all day and then my hubby smoked them on the BBQ. He detestes meat on the bone, but even he managed to eat half of a 2kg order. I'm glad he did, because given the chance, I'd have polished off the whole lot and I'm trying to watch my weight! The meat was flavourful and so tender one barely had to do any chewing. It's so hard to find good quality pork ribs and I was so happy I purchased these. They were excellent value, had a good amount of meat on and weren't too grisly like some ribs tend to be.

Very nice. I think they could have been trimmed a little better, I had to take a lot of fat off that won’t render down. But good value for money.

Very tasty short rib, no need for lashings of any sauce just good cooking on a wood fire for superb taste at a good price . .

Tiny ribs and very fatty. Each rib had been sliced along its length resulting in ribs about 50mm wide. One pack had a strip of rib tips in to make up the weight. These are very fatty, even 4 hours in the Kamado didn't render the fat out. I'll not be buying these again...there's far better suppliers of Spanish ribs out there (John Davidson, for example).
