Just purchased a Bakery Bits Farmhouse 2lb and 1lb Ceramic-Coated Non-Stick Tin Item BB-431. Although it claims to make a 2lb loaf, as with many others making the same claim, it doesn’t, look at a shop bought loaf and compare the measurements. I was truly surprised at the quality of the tins, they should give a lifetime of use. I chose these tins because they are the deepest tin that I could find, even so the bake can still spill over. The non-stick properties do work but even so I still wipe the inside with lard, using the lard wrapping paper. After 25 minutes at gas 6, I tip the loaves out and give them another 5-10 minutes upside down to make the outside really crisp. One tip NEVER wash a seamed loaf tin as water will get into the seam and rust the tin. If you do buy one of these tins, I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed. Harry Gladson

Having spent months trying unsuccessfully to buy a traditional shape loaf tin, I was delighted to find bakery bits wer e now stocking one. Prompt service and delivery and although I have only used it once it seems to be an excellent product . Thank you again.

We bought 2 of these loaf tins. They are a good shape for making bread compared to other loaf tins. Bread releases easily from tins. We bought this predominantly due to it being ceramic coated rather than chemically non-stick.

Just tried it today. Absolutely first class. I've just made a Brioche in it, first time of trying. It baked beautifully & fell out of the tin when I tipped it over (no greasing required). The delivery service is very good & I will certainly be browsing your website again. Thanks a lot. Tony

I ordered 2 x Farmhouse 2lb (900g) Ceramic-Coated Non-Stick Tins specifically for the 100% Rye sourdough I make. Most bread tins are too shallow for the wet bread mix and using a long shallow tin doesn't work well as the centre of the loaf doesn't get enough heat. These really well made tins worked a treat right from the first time I used them, within hours of them arriving. They can also be heated up to 240C again really important for the Sourdough, whereas other non-stick tins give a 230C max. My Polish friends can't get enough of the bread, the most authentic they have tasted in the UK.
