I bought 2 of these tins to hopefully improve the shape of my loaves and was not disapointed. Not only that, the non-stick surface is brilliant, the tins are well made and really sturdy. Excellent value for money and I will certainly buy from this supplier again.

This is a very well made item, but am not sure if I actually received a 900 gram tin. I made up 900 grams of bread yesterday and there was far too much dough to fit in the tin I received. I had to use an old 2 lb tin that I've had for some years. It was considerably bigger. However, I am sure the results will be excellent if I mix up 500 grams.

Just purchased a Bakery Bits Farmhouse 2lb and 1lb Ceramic-Coated Non-Stick Tin Item BB-431. Although it claims to make a 2lb loaf, as with many others making the same claim, it doesn’t, look at a shop bought loaf and compare the measurements. I was truly surprised at the quality of the tins, they should give a lifetime of use. I chose these tins because they are the deepest tin that I could find, even so the bake can still spill over. The non-stick properties do work but even so I still wipe the inside with lard, using the lard wrapping paper. After 25 minutes at gas 6, I tip the loaves out and give them another 5-10 minutes upside down to make the outside really crisp. One tip NEVER wash a seamed loaf tin as water will get into the seam and rust the tin. If you do buy one of these tins, I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed. Harry Gladson
