“Great service at BB as always. The challenger is a lovely thing, but I’m yet to be convinced that it is an improvement on my Cloche. It’s also very heavy, and a touch awkward to get in and out of the oven unless you have sliding shelves.”
“Weird, I’ve given this a five star review but it’s not all glory. The build quality weight and design are great. I’d have to be really anal to say anything unkind. That said do “I” achieve and better results with this than I do with my Lodge cast iron Dutch oven? Answer is simple..... a big no! Mow, that said, my main use, indeed only use is bread making. It’s on the “bigger size” and I like that. Others using it for meat baking/roasting whatever may get greater benefit from It. So, very strange I have given it five stars to reflect, size, Wright, ergonomics, build quality and certainly long life, but.... but would I buy it again? For bread baking along I don’t think it justifies the price. The outcome of baked bread is nothing better (nothing better) than regular cast iron. But..... each to their own. Seem to recall I paid something like £250? Hope I’m not wildly out on that figure. Too be honest I can think of many kitchen accessories that I’d recommend people to buy over this.”
“Broke my large Tagine I've been baking my sourdough in for the last 3 or 4 years, after a lot of research decided to invest in this substantial cast Iron bread pan. What can I say it is a beast !! Built to last, built for sourdough it will allow me to really take my sourdough to the next level and explore the world of sourdough to it's full potential. I've already baked 3 large sourdough Boules lovely crust very happy indeed. It will out last us all !”
“Great pan ..takes your sourdough bread to the next level with its ability to fully trap the steam created once you put it in the oven. Very pleased I bought it.”
