Only used once so far but the first loaf was noticeably better than I have previously produced. However I have until now simply been using a steel oven tray in an electric oven. The La Cloche appears to be made of some sort of refactory clay, so the same sort of baking I could expect from a wood oven without the wood smoke flavour. Oven spring with sourdough was improved and the crust lighter but just as crispy as before so I am happy with the results so far but it is now time to vary the process to see what suits best. Difficult to put the proved dough into the base without getting burned fingers. May award five stars when properly tested.

Firstly I'm a relative novice to bread making.I bought this item in the hope it would improve my bread making. It certainly did.Every loaf now has a wonder crust and spring! Arrived promptly as usual with Bakery Bits.

This was a gift to my son-in-law so I cannot review it myself. However this is to replace the same item he bought from you some time ago, but which unfortunately broke. He was very pleased with the original.
