Not used one of these before, but looks nicely made and works well so far!

I am a rather experienced baker and I have no doubt that the dome does upgrade your bread baking big times. It creates the most wonderful crust (better than the crust created using a Le Creuset). I am very happy with it. The only downside is that it is rather cumbersome to remove it (hot) from the oven, because there are no handles (from this point of view, the Lodge cast iron pots system works better) & it is rather fragile. Highly recommended BUT if you have also to invest in some quality pan, perhaps I would now choose the Lodge iron pans - u can cook and bake with them (and they can be moved around with no fuss) I decided to buy the cloche because I have already possess plenty of pans.

I broke my original dome and had to get a replacement, as it produces lovely bread. My only regret is that there is not a rectangular version the would produce slices that better fit the toaster.
