“Bought two, one for me one as gift, after reading the positive reviews. Tried to lift the box and "oh no!" - 39kg according to the courier's label. A bit worried if the oven would cope, but tried sourdough and pizza. Amazing oven spring, even better than cast iron cocotte which constantly delivers good crust pain de campaigne. For bread, I followed the recommended tempearture of 220c but found it too low for sourdough pizza (I use quite wet dough). At 240c pizza gets baked like a pro with crispy bottom and puffy edge with plenty of moisture & chewiness inside. Given the thickness hope the stone will enjoy a long life despite the higher temperature than the manufacturer's recommendation - will report if it doesn't. The only downside is cleaning (can't hold with one hand), but overall highly recommended.”
