Good quality, thick and useful to have stone - great for sourdough bread! 4/5 stars because it's a bit overpriced I think :)

I've just taken my first sourdough out of the oven using my new granite 40 x 30 slab. What a difference to my previous efforts using an earthenware pizza stone! Crisper base, more even rise and a lovely crust. Why didn't I get one of these before? I would recommend it to anyone who likes home baking their own loaves.

This is ideal, but very heavy. Perhaps 1.5 cm would be better for domestic use

So far so good, well finished and heavy. Fine grained granite with no visible flaws so should last. This stone holds on to heat, if you grab hold of it hours after your oven has been switched off you could burn yourself so be careful!

As I say, why did it take me so long to get one of these. Sourdough loaves come out beautifully and much better than my previous terracotta stone. Love it!

Brilliant results. Heat the stone for an hour at 250c and my sourdough loaves now cook perfectly in 25 minutes.
