The roasted barley malt flour and nut brown malt flour looked well milled and the bread had a great texture and tasted lovely. I'd definitely buy from Bakery Bits again.”
“I bought this to make what was called nutty cob in my childhood, a wholemeal bloomer with sunflower oil and what I suspected was malt. First attempt with Marriages strong stone ground wholemeal, 1 small teaspoon of diastatic malt etc produced the right style. It was the way it toasted, crisp on the outside and moist doughy in the middle that was my main memory, and I got pretty close first attempt. The next attempt will be with the Vistamalt Crystal flour 150 Nut Brown Malt Flour. For this extract, the next recipe will be malt loaf. Service is good from Bakery Bits. Oh and I will use the diastatic malt wherever I can. so if you want a 100% stoneground wholemeal that is not the texture of sawdust, these are the ingredients to buy.”
