I cannot recommend this company enough, their products may not always be the cheapest on the market, but the products i have purchased so far have been of top quality and the service re postal and packaging are also prompt and of the highest quality .

I bought this as I just couldn't get my kitchen knives sharp enough to slash the top of my loaves. This little gadget is just perfect.

I have been 'making do' with a sharp knife but after seeing my son using this tool I had to have one and it's great ! No dragging on the dough - wish I'd bought one a long time ago !

I bought one of these and despite trying many times I found that it was totally useless. When making Pane de Campagne and slashing the loaf before baking it just dragged and wouldn't enable me to make clean precise slashes. I complained to Bakery Bits and was told that my technique was at fault. So I don't ride again without success. Two weeks ago I visited the best and most long eastablished master baker in the area ( established more than 250 years ago) and asked his advice. He showed me what he uses, which was a little, very cheap serrated knife. Last week I bought one in the local market for £1.50 and is perfect. It makes very good slashes without dragging. The Landaise Lame was a total waste of £7.50 and I would recommend a serrated knife. I have given it a one star rating because I'm unable to give zero!
