“The Mercure Heathrow is a fantastic place to stay, the staff are polite and our room was spotless. Have had to give it a low mark as our booking with APH included hotel parking but on return from our trip we received a fine from parking eye. Even on appeal which included our booking clearly stating hotel parking included parking eye refused to cancel the fine. Even the hotel receptionist had confirmed our pre payment for parking on arrival at the hotel. Beware when booking hotel plus parking these people will rip you off. Non of this was APH or the Mercures fault both of these companies provide a great service. Parking eye refuse to accept the facts laid out in writing and use threats and intimidation to extort money from you.”
“The hotel is well located for an overnight stay before an early flight out of Heathrow. The beds unfortunately were very uncomfortable which made for a disturbed night's sleep which was not what we wanted before our flight. The bar prices were also extortionate with a pint of pale ale costing in excess of £7 which would be expensive even for central London.”
“Lovely lady at bar, very friendly and professional. Bar food was nice too. Took a while to book in as our details had to be added to system (no explanation by the man on reception, just told us we had to wait!!). Nothing to do with hotel but room above us was occupied by an elephant who spent several hours into the morning stomping around the room which didn’t help aid our sleep. Convenient to airport and parking straightforward at Long stay T5”
“The bedding was smelly, almost like someone’s BO. The bathroom was tired and dated. I was put in a room very close to the main walkway through to reception and other hotel guests were extremely noisy which wasn’t ideal as I was up early to catch a long haul flight.”
“The room was perfectly functional for a night's sleep before going to the airport l The restaurant was very mediocre and service was appalling. It seemed the staff had not been properly trained. Breakfast was disappointing.”
“Would recommend as a place to stay when flying out from Heathrow, breakfast should be included. A few issues in the room, fridge locked, why is it in the room!!! Safe did not work.”
