“They got our key stolen (lost 130 keys in total), they wouldn't even have anything ready so we can get back home. The people were very rude when we asked how they got it stolen. Also when we got to the airport on time for our flight they askef for extra 10 pounds for coming earlier but we were on time for our flight. The terms and condition says we can come early as we like as long as the flight is on the same day. The car was covered in dust, tree worms and lots of leafs. I would recommend staying away from them.”
“Very good dropping the car off coming back no so good had message keys have been stolen so I had to travel to the police station to pick the keys up. Took me an extra two hours in time they’re broke. Richie is very helpful took us to the police station and back, but would like maybe a bit of a refund for the time I had to travel to the police station I know it’s not their fault then all very good thanks, Paul”
“Due to strikes at Heathrow we arrived an hour early and were charged an extra £10.00 CASH by the driver. This charge is not mentioned in any of your Terms and Conditions, which only refer to a £30.00 charge if arriving back late. I would question why this charge has to be paid in cash when card readers are commonly available?
On our return we were informed that the car park had been broken into and all the car keys stolen as well as some of the cars. Subsequently, our car was not delivered to us at the airport, which was our agreement, and we had to be picked up and driven to the compound 9 miles away. Fortunately, I had a spare key with me and we were able to drive home. We were informed that the police had recovered our key but now we have the hassle of contacting them to sort out this problem.
I would seriously question the security of this car park when thieves can break into the safe, steal all the keys, and steal some of the cars. Where were your security team when this happened? Your negligence is overwhelming and I will never use or recommend your services again. Would give zero stars if I could.”
“OUR CAR WAS STOLEN! Read the company’s ‘about’ page and think the complete opposite. We found out from the tracking device company that our BMW was stolen whilst we were on holiday. For hours we tried to contact Edward Lloyd office but did not get anywhere as it was the middle of the night in the UK. So we called again first thing in the morning and were told just to send the registration number via text message than the guy just put the phone down! since then communication was only via text message (you can imagine the costs as we were in the USA). We were told that in the end that vehicle was recovered by the police but because there is no key (apparently it was stolen from the safe) there is nothing else they can do … since then communication just stopped … no advice on what to do next or arranging transport for us to get home or even a simple apology… just nothing. So we are arriving back home tomorrow after an overnight flight without having any idea of what to do next. Now you decide for yourself if it is worth booking with this company or not. Whilst I understand that anything can happen in the car park I am shocked at the way this company deals with the customers.”
“A dreadful service. Myself, my wife and my daughter returned to Heathrow on Sunday evening. We had been travelling 25 hours by this stage. I called Edward Lloyd meet and greet, only to be told out of the blue, the car keys had been stolen and that I needed to contact the police to confirm if they had my keys. I made the point, I should have been notified before now this had happened; they should be the ones contacting the police. Ultimately, they did (reluctantly) drive us to Maidenhead police station where the keys were, and then to the car park. As you can appreciate, we finally returned home (Wales) very late at night. Thus far there has been no apology or offers of compensation. We would expect at the very least a full refund.”
“Do not use.
Arrived at airport Sunday evening to be told all car keys were stolen from their secure facility a few days before. The good news they said was they had tracked the thieves down and would I go to Maidenhead Police station from Heathrow to release my keys. It was 9pm and I was due to be on a Eurostar next morning at 6am. They had known for several days abiut the keys - but no call, email or text. I could have sorted out the key release with the police the day before or got someone to bring the spare keys to airport. It was 9pm Sunday! I paid for a taxi home, they texted me the police station number and today is Tuesday and I don’t have my car or my car keys. No offer to pay for a taxi home etc. So absolutely no way could I recommend. Even if you get keys stolen - the very least would be to warn me ahead of time. The only bright light was the person who was at the airport facing customers - though he couldn’t do anything as he explained he wasn’t empowered.
The APH customer services washed their hands of the problem and passed me back to Edward Lloyd who haven’t replied to my email asking for compensation for the taxi.”
