“Tricky to set up to an old Sony TV but worth the effort. My 95 year old father can now control the TV with only five buttons. Being able to choose which channels he sees also very good.”

“the flipper has all the functionality I required on purchase. After letting my mum use it (with Dementia) she couldn't seem to grasp the channel up and down buttons < >. From mum's point of view it would be simpler if both channel and volume buttons were both + - as she understands that. The only other downside was the buttons from new can be hard to press if you hit them on the middle. Easier on the inside edge not sure why that is could be easily rectified by making the shape flat instead of wedge shape.”

“Excellent piece of kit - my 95 year old mum can now operate the TV and STB together without having to navigate two complicated remotes with arthritic fingers. And I can still used the aforementioned remotes to access for advanced functions like recording and playback. Easy to set up too. Highly recommended and great value for money.”

We're sorry to hear that this customer is experiencing problems with the Flipper remote control and their TV/Device. We have advised our customer to contact us directly so we can get this resolved for them. The Flipper can be programmed to control a TV/device exactly how the normal remote controls operate, if this problem doesn't occur when switching devices on/off using existing remotes then we can help our customer reprogram the Flipper to fix this, if the issue is replicated with the manufacturer remote controls then this must be fixed by changing the TV/device and can be more complicated as it relates to the default AV channel for the devices.

“The idea behind this remote is brilliant if it is just for a t.v. Unfortunately if you need it to operate both a t.v. and a set top box the user has to press the on/off button twice. That doesn't happen in our world so the t.v. ends up being left on all night displaying a screen showing no channel available. Highly recommend if you want it just for the basic 5 t.v. channels.”

We're sorry to hear that the Flipper isn't working as it should for our customer. The Flipper should turn both the TV/STB off with a single press so it sounds as though the programming isn't set-up 100% correctly, we would recommend contacting our customer service team for help in fixing this. Alternatively, you can set the Flipper to only turn the TV on/off and to leave the STB on standby by "Pressing and holding ADD until the light turns solid, then enter 999".

“The flipper remote does not work with sky Q box manufactured by Cisco so now I'm left with a control that I cannot use.You need to advertise this fact as I had to research it online.”

There was an issue with an earlier batch of Flippers and Sky Q Cisco boxes, however, we can confirm that the Flipper now works for the vast majority of Sky Q boxes that our customers own.
