“While this looks simple to those who are not incapacitated it wasn't the answer for my mother in law with dementia. When we programmed it to change the virgin box it was noisy, clunky and inconsistent. So we reset it back to factory settings so that she could just use the orange and blue buttons but even these were too confusing. Would be better if the blue buttons were marked with say a picture (to represent the channels) and the orange a music symbol (to represent sound).”

We're sorry to hear that our customer didn't get on with the Flipper remote control. We're unsure what is meant by "noisy, clinky, and inconsistent" but it does sound as though the Flipper isn't currently working correctly with the Virgin box as there are no known issues with the Flipper and Virgin and we have many happy customers using these two together. We would recommend contacting our customer service team via email or telephone who will be happy to help with any programming, or if you no longer require the Flipper, we also have a 30-day returns policy should you decide to return the Flipper for a refund.

“I bought this for my parents who were finding it difficult to operate their TV and Sky box with the very complicated remotes that came with them. The Flipper remote is easy to set up and makes things much easier to use. Pressing the on/off button switches on the TV and Sky box at the last channel viewed and the channel button allows them to move up and down channels - no issues about having to choose the input source or pressing tiny buttons with tiny writing. Good product promptly delivered and can recommend thoroughly.”

“My mother can now watch TV & Sky rather than stare at a blank screen! Previously had two remotes with a lot of buttons which she couldn't remember how to use (and that is a nightmare for anyone let alone if you have dementia). This is one easy remote to switch on and off TV and change channel (includes Sky channels) and turn up/down volume - no other confusing buttons! This was an easy adjustment for her to successfully use (and for everyone else too!).”

“My father suffers from dementia and could not work tv. I installed sky so he could watch football but sky remote control was too complicated for him.. I programmed the Flipper Big Button Remote Control with on/off button and his favourite 20 sky channels and he can browse through them all without worrying about menus. Fantastic product which has given him back some independence and can keep him occupied throughout the day.”
