YTA is fantastic! For the past year I have taken courses for Plastering, Tiling and Plumbing. Starting off with knowing absolutely nothing about these trades, and leaving with the skills, knowledge and confidence to go straight out there and tackle those jobs, at home and for customers! The courses are very hands on, no boring written classroom work, you really get your hands dirty from the word go! The price of the courses are an absolute bargain! The money I have saved from taking on jobs at home, the courses have paid for themselves, let alone the earning potential from taking on jobs for the domestic market! The instructors are brilliant! These guys really know their stuff, and will arm you with everything you need to know about the trade. Great friendly environment, had a lot of fun on these courses! A Great Big Thank You To YTA! Adam, Leeds

I did a Plastering Level 1 CITB course for 2 weeks. Never lifted a trowel and hawk in my entire life. The trainer (John) was excellent, he explained everything very well making sure you got it right. People you meet always state that you can't learn anything in 2 weeks. It a BIG LIE!! They just can take the fact the you can learn the trade in 2 weeks and then build on this skill to gain your experience overtime. Everyone starts somewhere and eventually becomes a professional. I would recommend this course to everyone wanting to learn this trade even if you don't want a career out of it. Atleast you don't have to pay high prices of getting your rooms skimmed. Just do it yourself. Great course and excellent trainer. JOHN YOUR TRULY AMAZING AND VERY HELPFUL. MISS YOU ALREADY YTA.. Good luck and I will be back to say hello.

Loved the two week course in carpentry and joinery, Kish and new teacher Connor were both enthusiastic and patient and taught me so much in such a short space of time, would recommend to anyone, for personal or professional learning. Great atmosphere, small classes means individual attention and development, extensive facilities and friendly staff across the board. Robin

You are looking at the YTA website , so you must be interested in learning or developing a trade . Like me , skeptical , that in just a couple of weeks, YTA can get you where you want to be . Well they can , and they will ! I trawled through masses of trade school sites with outrageous qualification claims and rung a few to challenge them on their facts . The only ones to dispel the BS and speak the truth were Graham and John at YTA . If your doing your research ,( because you are planning to spend a lot of money ! and you know your goals and aspirations ) then YTA will not let you down. With a lot of hard work from yourself these guys can set the foundations for your future . Honestly. At YTA you can be sure your spending your money wisely . If i need further training i will not be wasting my time looking anywhere else . I spent a month working with Johnathon , plastering and tiling CITB level 1 , its not easy , quite tiring but he worked with me closely , taught me invaluable lessons not on the training menu , and kept me on point through out . Hes a great guy and a great trainer , a natural . And very entertaining . You will laugh believe me .Which always makes a new experience better ! Did i save money doing this course ? if your looking to go into the trades or do those big DIY projects at home , bathrooms , kitchens , full house skimming , then the answer is a resounding yes . The facility's are good , bays for the plastering and tiling are large and great for practice ( i don't think i will ever get the image out of my mind of the mad 60's bathroom i tiled for my assessment , hideous ! ) . But If your looking to train through out the winter , two words of advice , wrap up . It can get very very cold ! Thanks YTA , and thanks John

I underwent a Carpentry Experienced Worker Practical Assessment and found the entire process very straight forward. Graham and Alan were very helpful and communicative in organising every step of the way, from initial briefing through to the assessment day. Excellent, professional yet relaxed service that very much helped an otherwise potentially stressful experience.

I am very impressed with the amount of knowledge and skills I have learnt on the plumbing course from Graham. Great pace of learning and given all the tools and support to practice things throughout the week. Graham is very knowledgeable and a great tutor, I would recommend YTA to anyone looking to join the industry or simply gain skills for their own benefit.

An excellent tiling course from Jon thoroughly enjoyable and covered many scenarios. Conquered the board of doom! Adding this skill to the bank will absolutely help me grow my business. And now I can install underfloor heating in my wet room! Thanks guys.

I loved my time on this course. I only had time to do the 5 day joinery course, but really wish I'd have been able to stay for an extra week! The tutor/student ratio was excellent and we cracked through quite a lot of different skills in our time there. The place was friendly, relaxed and well equipped, and it would recommend it to anyone looking to boost their skills. What stood out to me as an endorsement for YTA was how many of the guys were on their 2nd or 3rd course there...this says a lot! Thanks chaps; I hope to be back with you again when I can :-)
