“Took the 1 day EWPA in joinery. Mark was fantastic. Even though I have 20 years experience was still very nervous and he made me feel at ease. Hes really knowledgeable and very helpful. His humour helped to keep me at ease. I would recommend taking this course here to anyone. Fantastic place, all really helpful. Thanks”

“I did the 5 day intensive plumbing course run by Paul. I travelled up from Bristol to stay for the week so I could attend the course as this kind of course could only be found at YTA; and I must say it was worth every penny and more! The course was exactly as described on the website with everyday being centred around a plumbing project such as you may encounter around the home (bathroom, kitchen, radiators etc) but the most important part was the teaching and knowledge that came with this. All aspects of HOW and WHY were covered such that a person (like myself) with zero plumbing knowledge can understand how the different plumbing elements around the home work, and why they are installed in the manner they are. Paul covered a massive area of knowledge for me in such a short space of time leaving me with a great amount of confidence in my ability to tackle any plumbing job - which I have already put into use. Cannot recommend this training facility enough, the amount of knowledge you'll be walking away with by the end of the week is a bargain. I may well be back for another course in a different area.”

“I did a 10 day plumbing course paul the instructor was amazing very patient and helpful when I wasn't sure about things, I even phoned for advice after my course had finished and paul was really helpful and gave me some pointers, I would recommend YTA for anyone that's interested in doing a course, as you gain valuable knowledge, thank you to paul and the rest of the instructors for making my time there a joy to learn.”

“A variety of us joined up for a week plastering course, some tradesmen, some with own properties to do. A no nonsense, hands on approach that took us through many basic techniques that gave me the skills and confidence to attempt the repairs needed when it has been nigh impossible to find competent local tradesmen. Very friendly and helpful guidance from our teacher Dave. The cost of the course was less than a quote to do one wall - I now feel able to sort all those large and small jobs around the house. Tremendous value, would recommend to anyone seeking the independence of competent DIY. I was amazed at the quality work done by some of the fellow course attendees.”

“Done it in January, Plumbing. For this price I don’t think you can get better services and you can learn and achieve a lot. Paul, plumbing trainer, is an excellent guy, explaining everything on a different way. They can improve their centre by expanding to the real potential.”

“Would recommend YTA to anybody, i have loved doing my 10 day level 1 plumbing course, paul was a tutor, he is so laid back, he gives very clear instructions, and also checks in with you to make sure you actually understand everything, the environment round the centre is great, all other tutors doing other course would talk to you they are all very friendly and welcoming, there is a buzz round the centre. Hopefully will be back soon to build on my skills.”

“5 day plumbing course I enrolled on. The course was very intense. I quit on 3rd day. As a female, some of the tools that we had to use I didn’t use before so that was a difficult for me. I felt like some of the other students already had knowledge and experience and were a lot quicker than me in completing the tasks. I felt like I let the team down. I didn’t get the right support I felt and that’s why I quit. Staff were great and welcoming but when it came to teaching I was let down.”

“Paul the plumbing instructer was professional in his role, mindful of individuals' abilities, I'm 71 years of age and felt comfortable in the group whilst Paul took his time to explain to me time and again (memory not so good) what I needed to do.
