The most commonly experienced conditions in the UK adult population including gum disease (75-80%), mouth ulcers (20-30%) and dry mouth (15-20%). While the causes are often different and varied the conditions are themselves linked, so in simplistic terms once your oral health is compromised by one you are very likely to experience another. Dear FJ Morgan, Thank you for your feedback. Your order was placed on 3rd June which was a saturday, your order was despatched the next working day Monday the 5th June. I can see on the Royal Mail tracking this was delivered on the 7th June whch is a 48hr service. Kind regards Laura

“I have periodic outbreaks of Oral Lichen Planus with subsequent squamative Gingivitis. I use Betamethasone oral mouthwash for the Lichen Planus and tried mouthwashes for Gingivitis which burn my tongue and mouth. I tried your mouthwash Vitis Gingival for sensitive mouths but unfortunately, it still burns my mouth, not as much as Corsodyl, but almost as much. I feel rather disappointed that I'm unable to find something suitable to improve the Gingivitis. Any useful information or tips would be welcome.”

VITIS Gingival is formulated as a daily use product for individuals who suffer from gingivitis and/or sensitive gums, but is not indicated for auto-immune diseases such as Lichen Planus. In these instances we would recommend Gengigel Mouthrinse as a preventative for both LP and gingivitis (or Gengigel First Aid Oral in the case of a flare up). Both products are based on high molecular weight hyaluronic acid which is already present in periodontal tissue and has no reported advise indications. “As a pharmacist, for some time there have been soft lozenges to aid saliva production. They worked quite well, but the taste wasn't particularly pleasant. This product sounds like a good idea but is fiddly to use and not sufficiently advantageous to justify their use. The taste is similarly not wonderful which is a pity because there is a gap in the market. Personally, I would never suggest leaving an object in the mouth overnight. It could become detached and enter the trachea which would be dangerous.”

“Good product but I use at night wish it had a small tube on to spray more direct, when you are half asleep, I have transferred to a sterilised bottle that has tube now no problem.”

“I only gave 3 stars purely because they are so very expensive. I can't fault their delivery. When people have to buy very plain toothpaste because of a medical mouth condition, it's very unfair to overcharge like they do. I'm sure someone is making a great deal of money out of someone else's misfortune.”

Hi Vera, Sorry to hear you are not happy with the price, if you allow me to explain for a second. For your purchase price of £8.19 per unit we are actually the cheapest store in the UK for Squigle Tooth Builder Toothpaste places like amazon and ebay are almost double. Due to it being quite a specialist product for sensitive teeth, has no sls, helps with dry mouth and mouth ulcers it does make it more expensive than the typical colgate toothpaste. Lastly I have to import it over from America so you can imagine the cost. Hopefully this explains it and shows we are actually quite competitive with pricing all things considered. “I have used this in the past and it does work, for myself anyway. It will sting like crazy until the effect sets in but no more pain once applied. I would say the only negative thing would be the price it costs, rather expensive for all you get. All in all a good product if still rather expensive it works.”

“I was contacted to say that my order was on its way, then another a couple of days later saying that one of the items was not available so there would be a refund. The refund did not include the VAT that is paid on health items. The delivery took well over a week. Then two envelopes came - one with an invoice for the date when I had written to complain! I can't make sense of what went wrong but haven't the energy to ask. I am not yet sure what I have paid. The product was not good either, although recommended by Macmillan.”
